Hi Schelte
This works great!
Control over the updating frequency (preferably faster than every 2 min) might be a nice option for a future update openthermonitor. But I am already more than happy with this function!

Hi Schelte
That looks really nice!! Cant wait to try it out, but have to wait for a little while as my CV is currently being serviced.

Re: Windows 10 driver installation error
I tried the auto update before but that didn't work. On your advice installed the latest driver of prolific, which didn't work neither. There was however a note on the site saying Windows 8/8.1/10 are NOT supported in PL-2303HXA and PL-2303X EOL chip versions. This made me look if other encountered ...

Windows 10 driver installation error
Opentherm gateway monitor used to run flawlessly on my win7 computer. After installation of windows 10, I cant get it to work anymore, as I get an error with the installation of driver "Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port (Com3)". This is consistent with two computers I tested. The gateway it...

Hi Mike
Would it be possible to share what you do? This might make it easier to try out.
Regards, Rutger

Re: OTmonitor als daemon op Raspberry Pi
Hi yjb, Thanks for your reply. Based on your comment, I assume etc/profile works for me since my RasPi logs in automatically at boot, since it starts in raspbian. Just for my understanding, why would init.d be prefered? Because of the following? Sometimes when a computer is shutdown, services need t...

Use OTMonitor on RasPi to log data to Thingspeak
Now that I have OTMonitor running as a daemon in my raspberry pi, I would like it to send specific values (like boiler temp) to thingspeak, where I also log data of my evohome system. How would I initiate this? My feeling says that MQTT option in OTmonitor could help here, but there is not a lot wri...

Re: OTmonitor als daemon op Raspberry Pi
Ok, the learning curve goes quick :) Playing around a bit solved the problem, otmonitor is now running in the background. For the next person, this is what I did. type into the terminal: sudo nano /etc/profile So otmonitor is started by a script named profile that is loaded at startup Then add to th...

Re: OTmonitor als daemon op Raspberry Pi
Hi guys With a lot of trial and error, I have gotten met OTGW to work with my Valliant CV, OTmonitor to run on a raspberry pi, and to connect to the pi via the webserver. Next I would like to: -have OTmonitor to run when the pi starts. -send the value of parameters of my choice to log on thingspeak....

How to translate data like "B501812F5"?
Hi all, I've got my gateway successfully connected between my thermostat and boiler and am able to see what happend using the OT monitor. Now I would like to connect the gateway to an arduino or a spark core, so I can log the temp, etc online without the need of a computer running 24/7. Although I'm...

Re: OTG DIY assembly problem (USB)
I appear to have the same problem: between pin 5 and 14 of IC1I measure 6V instead of 5V. The in-voltage of the voltage regulator (IC3) is 23.1V and the out-voltage again 5.9V. I tried to remove IC3 but found this to be very difficult. Instead I connected IC3 to my powersource. Between 9-16 in-volt,...
