Re: Tinkering with voice control

Haven't tried it in a noisy environment yet. For some reason, when I demonstrate a voice command everybody holds their breath.. :o

Tinkering with voice control

Yesterday I had an extra hour or 2 to spend on something . It should be fun to do and not take too much time, those were the main criteria. "Voice control" won :) I wouldn't call this a "project" but it might be fun to see how easy it can be to have voice control ... even if it's...

Re: Nemef Radaris Evolution Plugin

Peter, To speed things up a bit (13 hours have passed between you posting & me reading) it's better to mail me @ home. The Plugin has only been tested very briefly with serial so a lot of things can still go wrong. After adding the Module the next thing you'll have to do is add a controller as w...

The prospect of an API was the reason I decided to back it

Re: Nemef Radaris Evolution Plugin

Not on this forum, that's for sure :) The last time I did something with it must have been around summer of 2012 so I'll have to see if it still compiles ... ; it already was in a stage where it was ready to be tested so you'll be " the chosen one " for that  I think I can release it...

Re: Kickstarter: NEEO, the thinking remote

I disagree; I can control the TV with my smart phone but I still prefer a real remote. Try to control the TV with your phone with your eyes closed; try to hit a sequence of buttons (e.g. goto channel 376, or do CH+, mute, VOL-). What's the success rate? Try the same with a real remote and you'll see...

My Pronto also has a touchscreen - I wouldn't use it if it didn't have one
Backed the project.

Kickstarter: NEEO, the thinking remote

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1227115988/neeo-the-thinking-remote It looks really nice, some hardware is (promised to be) supported out of the box, but I didn't back it yet. Instead I challenged them to make the NEEO just as flexible as my 8-year old Pronto - or does evolution work the other ...

It's called the "Invited Smart Lock" now, made by Invited BV.
