Re: Fibaro Wall Plug with RaZberry
I've received mine today as well. From what I've seen thus far I quite like 'em. I have a couple and can confirm that you can plug two of them side by side in e.g. a powerstrip. The size of these things is great, they're even smaller than I thought they would be.

Re: crime detection
There's vandalproof SD cameras available as well. :) They'd have to make quite a ruckus to take those with them. At which point it would become closer to a burglary/robbery than an inconspicuous opportunity theft. And if it's that likely they'll take it away, you could still combine it with an off-s...

Re: crime detection
- For 'easy', one of those cameras recording to SD is probably the simplest solution. Imho, hiding might not even be necessary as their presence might already be a deterrent. - Paying everything with PIN as to not have money in the house (alhough that might not be an option) - Access control, a pers...

Re: Stolen bike
Sorry to hear your bike was nicked... :( Sucks Although the SD camera wasn't very useful for an ID, imho this setup still has its purposes. Like, seing if there's somebody hiding on the side of the door while another rings the doorbell, checking on your property remotely etc... And even in this case...

Re: Add IR leds to existing dome camera?
DJ,
It's probably possible to hack some LEDs inside the camera. But if you add IR LEDs inside the dome you run the risk of them creating reflections in the dome showing up in your image and messing it up.

Re: Does anybody know Dahua camera's?
Hi Olof, I'm not familiar with this camera, but regarding the price in the US, be aware that with shipping + import duty the price still goes up considerably. (On the import tax form, Indicating clearly that the camera does not record anything, might soften the amount of import tax slightly) Good luck

Re: Looking for IP-based video intercom system
No idea, but maybe you could have a look on Ebay and the likes for a second hand one you can cannibalize for parts like the housing.Meinaart wrote:Do you know any IP camera's sold as seperate units or do I need to remove the housing of an existing ip-camera?

@Fantic: I stand corrected, for some reason those models didn't show up on my other computer earlier on.

Re: Looking for IP-based video intercom system
I'm afraid what you're looking for (an IP/VoIP Ethernet video intercom etc) is not available in the cheaper segment, yet. At this moment I'm not aware of a lower cost doorbell providing all these integrated functions, all while not being build upon a proprietary system. If you're handy, a budget opt...
