No official Quby rooting for Toon2

Hi all,
Recently I managed to get my hands on a 2nd hand Toon2 from marktplaats. I wanted to see if I could adapt some custom apps to the Toon2 and therefore I need the Toon2 to be rooted.
I asked Quby for an official rooted toon2. With a toon1 that is possible. They ask you to send in your toon1, they will then root it in their office and send it back a few weeks later. You are left with a Toon with your own password but without any working VPN and therefore no apps which need connection to the service center.
The answer from Quby:
"Quby ondersteunt het rooten van Toon2 displays helaas niet. Dit is onder andere omdat het rooten van Toon2 veiligheidsrisico’s met zich meebrengt."
roughly translates to
"Quby does not support rooting of the Toon2 display. This is because of security risks involved with rooting the Toon2."
So that's it. No root access to the Toon2 using the official method. The security risks probably involve some hidden security features which they don't want you to know.
That means that the game is on... (if it wasn't already on). The first 2nd hand Toon2's appear on the marktplaats and it is only a matter of time before the first rooted toon2 are in the field.
