Toon no serial output

Hi all,
I'm quite new to this whole Toon rooting thing but I wanted to try it out.
So I bought 2 Toons online, followed the instructions and voila, first Toon rooted and working!

As for the second one, not so lucky...
When I connect the USB FTDI I get no output on screen, at all.

I tried Putty and Minicom via RPI but no luck. When I use the same wires and FTDI unit on the first Toon it always works fine.

Any suggestions?

Scratch that, I think I wrecked it now.
Tried to open it again but now it only gives a black screen. Not even the clicks on the thermostaat module.
I do measure 24V on the 2 power supply pins.

Guess I'll save it for parts while I try to find a third one.

Unless somebody has a good idea about this one...

First sign of live on a Toon 1 is the serial output. If that isn't working it is dead.
Even openocd need the toon to 'boot up' normally and therefore give serial output.

Reading your first post it seems that the Toon was already at this point from the moment you started.

Likely are that they have tried that serial port with a 5v connection, then you will break that port.

Hello,

Maybe your reset button is stuck in the housing?
I have had that once, thought i bricked it, but the reset button is keeping pressed.

Regards,
