Wifi sensors to replace Z-Wave?

Team,
Who has experience with Wifi sensors?
Quite often I have Z-Wave issues and therefore looking for devices that use Wifi.
Why?
- My wifi network is top quality: something I don't have to worry about.
- Often regular AAA batteries used: easier (don't care about the sensor size)
Example: $12 doorsensor https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32960800236.html
I would connect these sensors to Homeseer (hoping they have some kind of API)
Any thoughts/ideas?
Cheers
