Controlling on distance a central heating

Post by bosch.gmc »

Controlling en adjusting on distance (from the Netherlands) a central heating in a house in Austria.

The central heating: Hoval Multi-Jet with a room device: Toptronic

I believe there are three options:
- controlling by a remote camera in the room reading the screen of the room device.
- adjusting the room device on distance by mecanical arms which are pushing the buttons on de room device. (Mini robot)
- electronical to take over the steering of the room device by a computer program running on a computer in the Netherlands.

What is available on the market? Idea's, solutions, equipment

Nothing. Equipment manufacturers still think they can sell a cheap proprietary controller at a high price, with the requirement to pay a monthly fee to access your own system from their website. Most of these system have been taken off the market due to a lack of success (who would have guessed).

But there are more than enough of ideas. Search the forum for HVAC, OpentTherm or Remeha. All ideas still need a little work though. A ready-made solution is still not available.
