Intelligent powerline socket by AVM

AVM, the producer of the well-known Fritz!Box routers and modems, has introduced powerline sockets that can measure energy consumption and switch the power.The communication is based on the DECT standard which is also used for portable telephone handsets.
At IFA it was showcasing the FRITZ!DECT 200, an intelligent socket that harnesses successful DECT technology to measure, adjust and control home automation applications.
