What do you use as settop box/reciever

Currently I have a humax settop box with ziggo. Works fine, I use plugwise to determine if it's on or off and a IR Trans to control it.

I don't really like it because it want to add more info about the device in my control panel. Also the control and onoff status is a bit flimsy.

I read about some decoder like the vu duo2 which can be connected through its Ethernet port. It sends statuses. I read some about this decoder. Its track record with ziggo isn't flawless. I'm looking for advice.

What are you guys using? Can you connect to it?

here it's UPC network, but VU+ can have up to 3 tuner modules inside for DVB-C so should support ziggo cable too

I've looked into the openpli forum. It looks Ziggo will work. But without interactive TV (no biggy). Nobody got the Ethernet port of the Cisco or humax working?
