Hey Chak, leuke video hoor!
(Sorry, I forgot to type my reaction in english...)

I'm not that old..
Yes i have replaced the antennas later with the telescope versions.
The Oregon rain station is working fine..including the rain meter.

Chak,
Je uitleg is perfect voor de beginner.
Leuke meterkast, komt me bekend voor.
De deur wil in ieder geval nog dicht.
Hoe vaak hebben jullie een take over gedaan?
De reacties op het pocketinfo forum zijn ook leuk.
Voor antwoorden kunnen je ze beter naar dit forum verwijzigen.
Sorry in English, not in achterhoeks dialect.
Your explanation is simple for the newbees.
Nice switchboard (meterkast), looks familiar to me.
You can still close the door.
How often did you repeat the recording of one take?
The responses on the pocketinfo forum are funny.
You can better redirect them to this forum to get the answers.

@Dmb
Most of the recording was done in 2 shots.
My meterkast is one of the hottest places in my house +/- 35 degrees.
Not only because of the device I have also warm water and heating input there.
@Bwired
thanks...do you think someone knows Chakotay..

I don't speak Dutch, but I watched the video anyway and got the general idea. Well done!
Just one question:
I saw your electricity usage chart in a forum post somewhere and you commented that it was too high.
How do you manage to use so little power with all that stuff plugged in? I've never seen so many wires in one place [:)]
I don't have half of that stuff and I struggle to get my electricity use near your figure.
Paul..

@Paul Thanks
My usage is about 5300kwh per year...this is high
Most of my hardware is low power..low usage..but still to much.
first goal is to reduce it with 500 Kwh

Until about 1 year ago, my power use was over 10000 kWh per year. Here in the UK we have seen some steep energy price rises and I received a winter bill for 3 months of nearly 700 GBP (800 Euro). I thought it was then time to make some changes to reduce my energy use. I have made many changes and now have it down to just over 6000 kWh per year.
I also have some solar power which is used for smaller items, like router / Mini ITX Homeseer PC etc, but still I need to use quite a lot of power from the grid.
I will need to look more closely at where it's going and see if I can make some savings.

Paul,
I had the same, used over 10.000 a year. Now i'm back to 6500, still much but I run several webservers form my home (1100kWh)
I think you need plugwise http://www.bwired.nl/plugwise.asp

I have a daytime (empty house) base load of around 0.30 kWh now which I don't think is too bad. This covers my mini ITX Homeseer PC, router, switch, alarm panel, CCTV, RFXCom receiver and a few other little things.
I did look at your Plugwise page and the Plugwise web site a few days ago and thought it would be nice to have, but I don't think they do a UK version.
I have such a long wish list of HA gadgets but they all have large price tags [:(!]
