Erik,

I wouldn't know, here you can see how i connected it (large image):

I would say: look at the power LED. Is it burning? Then it should be ok.
Also beware of the jumpers JP2 and JP3 !!! (yours are set wrong)

First place the receiver at the easiest place you like. You get signal level, so you can see for yourself if reception is ok.
If not, move it. :)

well if i put the wire for usb in a pc, its lights up, so the leds are blinking. So i can only assume its powered by a usb port. But i would just like a regular power supply thingy to come with it.

On waakzaamwonen it says "De interface wordt geleverd inclusief RS232 kabel, voeding en handleiding" well i have 1 out of 3, i have no power supply (seperate) and no manual with it, only had the rs232 and usb port.. (so i didn't know about pin 2 and 3 either) although i've read some things here and there..

Power supply: 10-12V DC, the interface uses 45 mA.

Hi Erik,
Yes you can remove the USB cable, as you know I hate USB, so the first thing I did is remove the thing :D
But as you know the USB cable is only used for powering the Alphatronics.
You can Connect the power as Robert did or replace the USB cable with a 5 volt power supply
Not sure what I did because I'm on holiday right now :)

5 volt.. robert says 10-12 volt.. i assume that the connectors are 10-12 volt and the usb (where it ends on the board) is 5 volt.

you are a smart guy :D
But I'm not at home to check, so measure them (USB) first just to be sure if you want to use them!

Right, 10-12V DC is for those blue connectors.
