Camera hanging, almost

Post by Snelvuur »

So the ptz camera is almost up and running.

I had everything open on the kitchen table, was working like a charm. Everything is hanging up on the picture and now its not working, so need to troubleshoot (although al cables seems to be fine, i get juice and everything)

But its a nice spot, see picture.. it can overlook loads of stuff (once its done, but at least i can finally show something hehe)

Aaah the first picture! Nice one! Sucks that you already have to start with troubleshooting it though [}:)]

Judging by the height it should give you a nice overview look over your domain! ;)

If you hang it exectly on the corner you can see even more. 270 degree view instead of 180 degree.

I know, but then it would be able to see on the "patio" of all the other people to the left and right of me.. that would/could bring angry faces, its fine like it is now :)

one of those ultra domes, american dynamics or something like that, i always mix up the name, but those that mindbender has. ptz camera, 22 optical zoom i think. Outdoor housing comes with fan and heating element. So i really want it to work.. like i said without the see through buble it worked on my table below.. but up there not yet.. maybe i rotated the inner thing and it got loose.. hope that is it.. (i mean, i cant get it to power on at the moment) but i've been busy with it for a couple of hours, to get it up there test it first etc etc.. and going up and down from groundfloor to the roof (which is basicly 3rth floor) is good for your health :)

Looks nice! PTZ is pretty quick.

Some details on dutch law and regulations around camera observation:

I know about that:

Webcams kunnen ook onder de strafbaarstelling vallen, wanneer daarmee personen herkenbaar
in beeld worden gebracht. Wanneer echter de aanwezigheid van de webcam duidelijk is
aangegeven of met de webcam van een bepaalde plaats alleen overzichtsbeelden worden
gemaakt, zonder dat personen herkenbaar in beeld worden gebracht, vallen ze niet onder het
verbod.

Which basicly means, that i can control it, but if its live to the outside, then its only for the crossing, my own front part and the traffic jams for instance (since they dont include face recognition.
