Got the cable, p4c4 connector attached. Drivers installed.. But recom doesn't see anything at all.

I noticed that the LED left of the connector is always green, even without the cable connected.

Green LED always on is OK.
Did you get an additional COM port after installing the drivers & connecting the cable?

Maybe Recom doesn't scan as high as COM14 and you have to manually select the right COM port?
Can you do that?

Just changed the port to com4, recom discovers the port but still doesnt find a boiler.

The cable is connected as stated on your blog. red/yellow/orange-black

I'm just wondering if i could do somehting with the jeelabs USB-BUB II to verify the USB kabel.

Does somebody has a spare cable lying around which i can try on my Calenta?

Just to pin-point if the problem is the cable or de boiler itself.

Since I installed the script for homeseer, it is working great. Still I have one strange problem which I can't locate..
Ervery now and then the values of 'aanvoertemp' and ' retourtemp' are wrong. Normal values are in my case four digits (I removed the devide by 100 in the script) this so I get a value with 2 decimals.
When the values are wrong I get a 3 digit value which by graphing script devides by 100 as a good value. Because of this I get nasty 'down' spikes in the graphs.
Strang part is that when the returned value is wrong the CRC check is OK, so I believe the problem is in the script. The problem was already there before I removed the devide by 100 from the script.

Examples: http://www.iease.nl/systeem/remeha-calenta-status/

Hope someone can help...

I noticed the same.. running the event again fixes the problem. But once in a while the numbers are messed up.
For example.

Right now the heating is off:

Aanvoertemp: 44,79 degrees
Retourtemp: 2,79 degrees

We do have floorheating.. but 2,79 degrees would get me frozen feet.

Added:

Just did an extra run of the read event.

The roomtemp is 1,44 degrees now :-)
It is really the script, if i run recom software the numbers are right.

The strange part in my opinion is the fact that the CRC check is OK. As far as I can see there is nothing wrong with the script...

Although I don't use the script, here's something to consider:

When the CRC is correct, the data is correct. (as in: the data you see is what the boiler wanted to report to you).
But what I did notice (today, accidentally) is that when I disconnect my thermostat from my boiler, I get wrong values too.
So, think about it: maybe it's something 'external' that's messing up things at the boiler, resulting in the boiler reporting wrong values but with a correct CRC...

I don't believe the remeha is sending wrong values. When logging with the recom software the values are always correct... (already tried logging for more then an hour with the recom software)

I believe it has something to do with vb and the rounding of numbers with cint, int, and fix.
I have modified the script to see if the cint("&H"result_word) returns 3 or 4 digits...
I think the conversion from hex to cint rounds the value unwanted... The problem also excists with other sensors in my house and the value problems seems to occur when the returned value is a round number for example 2200. I don't see the problem with values like 2270..

Below a preview of my stored values:

6026
5066
4039
3320
3300
3260
3200
3120
3010
2880
2760
2649
2590
160
2540
2529
160
170
2610
2640
2690
2697
2740

Looking at the values it is even possible that something went wrong with converting the hex values to Cint... Because the values are way off the expected values

What have you modified in which line from the script?
