Hi,
I'm surely interested in the project. In the moment I use a self build system controlled by a microcontroller that controls the wheater dependant thermostate near the boiler. I've build it in the ninety's. The wheater dependant thermostat takes over the control when other residents are at home and our living rooms need no heating

I'm planning a new system now. The Honeywell Vision Modulation is suitable, but gives no possibilitys to regulate when our living rooms need no heating but other residents are at home. Besides I want to monitor wheater and boiler.

Is there a possibility to get insight in the code of the microcontroller? I can read C/C++. I just build a Tcp/Ip connection between my Windows/PC and a microcontroller. It's written on the Windows side with Borland Rad Studio, a compiler that can compile to Android and Mac ios and Windows. Maybe I can give some help with the development of software.

The last post and update from the topicstarter was in March. Because of the many unanswered questions and even a PM which can't be send successfully to the topicstarter, I'm afraid this project is dead??

Yeah.. to bad.. because it sounded like a real winner.. I would love a OT2IPGW (opentherm to IP gateway) and I think there is a healthy market for it 2!
Kind Regards,
Greg.

I have an unused Linksys WRT54GL router. It has 2 serial ports (UART on PCB). I am thinking of using the router as a TTL to WiFi device. They cost about € 55,- new.

Hi Templar, I'm trying to do exactly that (with a WRT54GL and DD-WRT) but it doesn't work yet. There is a problem installing via opkg. If you have it working please let me know!

Hello Pieter,

It is not a priority for now. I have to mod the router first. But I managed to install OpenWRT with the ser2net and serialoverip packages succesfully (Although I did not configure them).
