Bluetooth Tracker
Hi,
I think the following link was posted on this site some time ago but it doesn't appear to be there..
http://www.bluetoothtracking.org
It's a PC with a good bluetooth antenna that tracks all bluetooth phones passing by and puts them in a database. Looks pretty cool.
Here's one of the graphs that show the BT usage:
Does anyone have this (or similar) software?
Thanks!
bye

I like that, show all the bluetooth info of all the cellphones which passes by your house
Need some kind of Bleutooth Ethernet server, software is not that difficult and then the scanning starts!
All kind of things you can do regarding Home Automation, events when you are leaving or approaching your house (like RFID)
You got me triggered again DJ, my ToDo list is growing again
Any other members intrested?

I thought so [:D]
Lets check if there is a bleu-tooth Ethernet server [:)], because you have to place the device closeby the front of the house. Or use a USB Ethernet server
Or any other ideas?

Hmmm, I have a USB blue-tooth receiver lying around somewhere. Will check it out. Might come in handy as an alternative to RFID tags.
Imagine driving home and have the lights switch on when you arrive.
Als het niet gerepareerd kan worden dan is het niet kapot!

Poor mans RFID [:-)]
Great way to check who's walking by. Useless but it's technically possible. (great to freak out my neighbor if I tell him how often he goes walking with his dog)
Other feature is to check if I'm home myself and somehow use that in homeseer.

Dont forget, most phones dont have a high receiver, and some bluetooth dongles dont go that far. Old ones are 10 meters, the new ones are 100m, exception of 1 or 2 that does 200m (so they say) and if that doesn't work you can always easydrop on ambulances and put that on your website like

One more thought.. The HS2 updater has a Bluetooth plugin (by Stipus). Installing this right now to see if that could do something similar.. As long as it puts something in a database

I got my second USB BT Adapter, for 7,95 at the Expert electronic shop. My other adapter didn't work with the MS native drivers, this one does. Now i can see 2 Cell phones. Now it's time to go searching for some programming resources.

I just found a great freeware app including full source (Delphi).
It finds all my BT devices, so that's a good start!
And since Delphi is very easy to read and understand, anyone should be able to rewrite this to his own programming language.
