X10 filter technology

I would like to bring this discussion back to where it started:
The commercial passive x10 filters commercially available in EU are very expensive for what is found in the package; a few coils, some capacitors, a resistor maybe. It's been designed of course and the plastic house will cost some.
But 60 euro's for 2 euro's worth of electronics?

The filter itself is supposed to be a notch or band-stop filter, that's all.
As far as I can judge the above mentioned design is one, there are other designs too. What's missing is the actual values for the various parts.
Did anybody ever measured those coils?

Using Elsie you can design various fairly simple filters that should or could do the job.
I have no electronics background, but it seems straightforward. Anybody ever tried this?

It would be nice and rewarding to build your own wouldn't it?

Yes, of course FM10 filters and work great, but after #14 FM10-filters my budget has gone.

Perhaps there is an other solution: XPRN noise reduction.

I did not try this.
But the are Cheap and you can put them in the case of an appliance (e.g. TL-armature).
