shutters down when the Sun shines

Post by bing »

I have mine shutters currently connected using X10 . The shutters can hand down. They can with "Active Home Pro "at set times down.
But now I am looking for something that I can let them down when the sun shines.

Who has experience with this?

For this you need an klx meter
Best is to also add a wind/rain meter.

see the wiki Dutch values

Zonlicht: 100 000 - 130 000 lux (100 - 130 klx)
Daglicht, indirect zonlicht: 10 000 - 20 000 lux 10 - 20 klx)
Bewolkte dag: 1000 lux (1 klx)
Kantoor: 500 lux
Erg donkere dag: 100 lux
Schemering: 10 lux
Donkere schemering: 1 lux
Volle maan: 0,1 lux
Kwartier maan: 0,01 lux (10 mlx)
Nieuwe maan zonder wolken: 0,001 lux (1 mlx)
Bewolkte nacht zonder maan: 0,0001 lux (0,1 mlx)

Thanks for your response.
KLX is a brand name? And can I use this in conjunction with X10 and ActiveHome Pro software?

The wind / rain gauge is less interesting for me,I'm talking about "rolluiken"

You can use a light controlled relay like the one is this schema: http://www.finimuis.nl/htm/0386.htm (sorry it's in dutch). The controls allow you to have a switch trigger anything based on the set amount of light.

This is a solar , wind , rain sensor to use with curtains and shutters

http://www.primrose-italia.eu/sensore-p ... h=452_1099 (sorry italian..)

it works with a relais and you could connect a sm10 that is triggered by the relais. Sm10 then will send the "start" to a x10 device with the same x10 address.
I use this method to close some basements with a rain sensor when it rains.
Best regards,
Lorenzo
