S2264 and a CM15

Post by jorisdekloris »

I cant get my S2264 to work with my CM15 through HomeSeer. With a normal IR-X10 controler the S2264 does work. Is the S2264 incompatible with the CM15?

This is how the devices are configured:

Status Floor Room Name Code Type
Off Beganegrond Woonkamer Eettafel Lamp A3 Lamp Module
Off Beganegrond Woonkamer TV Lamp 1 A1 Lamp Module
Off Beganegrond Woonkamer TV Lamp 2 A2 Lamp Module

I do not use HomeSeer but ActiveHome Pro with the CM15 and the S2264. I have no problems with this combination. You must be the replacement for the S2264 eg Marmitek choose to handle it.

I do not understand what you wrote.

Do i need to configure a Marmitek micromodule instead of the Elekhomica module?

Try to put the module somewhere else on the powerline to check.

The problem is that it's a build in module. I cann't put the module somewhere else.
Does my configuration contain any flawes? It's configured as a "Lamp Module" in HomeSeer.

Can you put CM15 to another place. When I switched to the S modules I do this successfully.

Connecting a CM15 directly on your computer and on the same power outlet is sooner or later cause for problems.
Signals are weakend by the computer and are not reaching the CM15 or with very low values.

So using the CM15 with HomeSeer is just a bad idea? I need the CM15 to connect through USB to my computer. I dont have more power outlets available.

I think it is, for some small settings it can work but can be very unriliable.
The biggest mistake most people make is not measure the state of the powerline, but only complain that it does not work :)
One of the first rules within the Xanura productline is measering the powerline and placing filters where they are needed. Only then you know that every outlet can be reached with a good signal.
if you comply to this then X10/A10 will work perfectly like it does in my house. So your computer needs to be behind a filter for sure!

[offtopic] I am used to quoting from other forums. I'll stop quoting [/offtopic]

I've connected my CM15 near to the S2264 in the power outlet. It works like charm. I'll start using zwave from now on.

If everybody quotes the topics will double as long and unreadable....
With zwave you will have in your situation less problems recieving, only lots of thick walls or far distance can cause some problems. But in a normal house it will work fine. There is also a price diffenrence, s2264 is not very reliable.
