Devices depart from the 1 Wire network unexepected

Post by Curtain »

Hi,

I've recently bought a master hub from hobby boards for one wire and after a few hours running, the device
(I have only one, the battery monitor) departs from the network unexpectedly.
Also, I see that the switches in the hub itself depart from the network.

I am using the Java API, and RXTX on Linux.

Every now and then, I get the following exceptions:
Exception: com.dalsemi.onewire.adapter.OneWireIOException: OneWireContainer26-Bad CRC during read.99
Exception: com.dalsemi.onewire.adapter.OneWireIOException: OneWireContainer1F verify on command incorrect

Please advise.

Best regards,

I could advise you to buy a HA7Net, but i don't know if that will work in your situation and if it's the answer you're looking for... have you tried this forum?

Thanks.

As it seems right now, the problem is caused by the USB to serial adapter.
If this adapter is behind an USB 2.0 hub, it causes problems on Linux.
