Centralising 1-wire sensors

Post by huckn »

Hi Bwired,

I'm not very familiar with electronics and I don't know 1-wire yet... therfore my question:
Is there a reason why you don't connect the 1-wire light sensor, infrared and pulse counters (for energy, water and gas counting)directly to the LOGO8 board ? What is the function of the TAI 8585 ?

Regards,

Centralising 1-wire sensors

Hi Huckn,
There are more ways to measure energy this is just one of them.
I'm not very familiar with the 1-wire light sensor but I think it won't work with the log08 http://www.midondesign.com (see specs). I also don't know how this device will handle the readings of the led flashes, I'm reading the infrared of the led so sudden light on the sensor does not give any false reading. The TAI8585 I use is a 1-wire counter which works with the log08.
If you have any more info on those sensors you mentioned please let us know.

Regards Pieter
