Looks nice... and expensive!

Is that a glass front, with capacitive touch sensor for each key?

I looked into capacitive "touch" sensors you could place behind stone, glass, and wood - a few years ago.
My idea was to use some "hidden" switches inside furniture to trigger some lighting scenes; but they were very expensive and only sold in large quantities (100 or so)

It would allow for many nice things though. :)

I did found that once, in the uk. Where you could get bathroom tiles which also act as a on/off switch. I presume thats what you mean, i think somewhere there is a topic which covers that .. been a while though.

Yes, you could use it nearly everywhere you wish. As it hasn't become more common, I'll assume it's still quite expensive... :)

On the other hand touchscreens are now becoming a lot cheaper - could allow for some interesting DIY "controllers".
I've just ordered a couple for a project: 17" touchscreen (no LCD, just the "touch plastic") + controller (USB) for less than 75 Euros.
