How does the roomba handle:

-Very small children that cannot walk but start crawling
-Hairs (does it break or jam with a lot of hairs?)

What is the most recent on integrating a Roomba with HomeSeer?

Thank you!

I Don't know about the HS part, but with IR trans lot's is possible now.
I am still very optimistic about the Roomba, for me it clean a lot of small dust, if I see the result it's every time... wow still that much dust.
With children its even better, while eating they drop a lot (as you will find/found out :D )
Yes and sometimes th Roomba gets stuck, but that is not very often and then you dis not the clean the roomba on time or there was something on the floor a little to big.
Yes you need the get cables etc. away because the roomba will fight with it :)

My Roomba starts cleaning ant night.

So for me still 5 stars!

we have a small dog, so getting lots of those hairs out of the way is also nice. We dont have carpet anymore, but tiles. Works just the same, just make sure like pieter says to clean the stuff from the floor.

And if you have a kid on the floor, the 5xx series actually slow down before "bumping" into anything. Just make sure the "small?" kids dont sit on it for a ride.

After 2 years exact the IRobot Roomba 14.4 volt Ni-Mi Battery broke down.
Resetting the Roomba did not help, so had to replace the battery with a new one.
Order some spare parts also, total set back of 107 euro, but my girl is running again.

I was wondering if anyone here has gotten the IRTrans to work with Roomba. I ordered the IR remote control as posted here, but IRTrans seems to be unable to learn commands from this remote. The binary code that shows up in the .REM file is very short, and obviously it does not work.

The IR remote seems to be using some sort of 'long IR codes', as the clean button's function differs depending on how long you press it.
