reindex the database
and yes Plugwise is to wide a search!
the forum is called plugwise, so have to sharpen it
Circle+ for example will be found, so you need to add some searchwords

this is what i get:

The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: linux plugwise.
You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards.

Checked it out and both words are in the list of way to may topics evne combined, you have to sharpen your search.
I can't make a different setting on the board, have to search for a Mod or something.....

Sorry to reactivate this topic again, but this function is pretty frustrating at times. Especially because it does not seem look at the amount of topics to be returned or if you narrow your search to a specific forum, but just if the word is in a "search ban" list and aborts the whole search.

For example:
- a search for "xanura" just in the For sale forum should not return too many topics... but unfortunately, Xanura is on the search ban list. So it's almost impossible to see what current secondhand Xanura prices are.
- a search for "ip" of "xanura ip" in the generic Xanura doesn't work because ip is too short, and xanura is on the ban list

I'd be very interested to see if these searches would really return so many real results. I usually try to make a search combination of a generic keyword combined with a more specific keyword. I'd rather get too many results then no results.

Or to narrow it down use site:domoticaforum.eu like this:

http://www.google.nl/#hl=nl&source=hp&q ... 3f253348d5

site: is officially supported by google to narrow the results down to one specific URL...

To narrow your search to a specific forum using google, you can add the forum number in the query (i.e. f=15 for the "For Sale or f=21 for the X10 forum)

google.nl/search?hl=nl&q=xanura+%22 ... p;gs_rfai=

Code: Select all

xanura "f=15" site:domoticaforum.eu
