many times I have to login with user and password

For some time I frequently need to type Login and Password when I login.
But "Log me on auto each visit" is ON.
Is it that I login from different locations or from many different computers? Or what should be the reason?

Should not be a problem
I also login from multiple computers like Ipad, laptop etc.
For 99% no problems, sometimes (rarely) i need to login again also.
Wondering then what the reason is also, but again very rarely!

Some symptom here. Sometimes I can go for several days (no more then 5 or so, sometimes It asks me twice a day. Even if I come from the same IP.
Looking at my own browser behaviour it looks like a premature cleanup on the server side. Usually the sid (session id's) are stored in files on a tmp directory, or maybe in the mysql database. Depending on the forum software, and ISP settings these sids are removed before you would like to, which could result in erratic session behaviour.

Check if your browser don't clean up cookies after closing down.

For what it is worth, I never experience this problem and Iogin everyday using multiple computers.

OK try this if you are using IE
go to tools and click compatibility view when you are on the main page of this forum.

Thanks, interesting problem
I login from different computers Hardware and WINXP and Win7 and different IP (LAN and WAN).
On my own computer "Does delete browsing histoy when exit" is OFF
I clean up cookies manually.
And on this computer "Display all websites in compatability mode" is ON.
Perhaps
I do not LOGOUT sometimes on one computer and login on an other PC.

I still have this problem. I was composing two a bit larger messages just after logging in with my credentials, and when I came round to submitting the message it rejected and forwarded me to a login prompt. This is pretty frustrating after writing a comprehensive message. Fortunately my back button saved me... login on a different browser window and click forward on the original one will repost the form after a warning.
Sessions are still timing out too fast.
