Email notifications: URL that require you to login

Hi,

When I receive an email notification (thread subscription) there's a link that takes me to that thread.

It doesn't take you to the thread directly. You have to login first, unless you take out the last bit (marked green).

Why would I have to login, just to view a topic reply? There's nothing secret..

I never have to login.
Correction, yes I think I did once, back in 2006. :D
Maybe you let your browser delete cookies and stuff (or block them)?

So if I remove the colored part in the URL I don't have to login either..

Just wondering if it's possible to leave this part out as it doesn't seem to do anything.

Noticed that the email notification contains 2 URLs of which only one forces you to login ;-)

I'll just click the 2nd URL!
