HomeSeer announces Z-NET!

Post by raymonvdm »

HomeSeer just announced the Z-NET!

http://store.homeseer.com/store/HomeSee ... P1902.aspx

It looks like a RaspberryPi2 using a Z-Wave interface and therefore u are able to run homeseer in the cloud (or on a virtual machine) I would like to know which interfaces the`re using on the PI (RaZberry ?) so i can build it myself much cheaper :D
Running HS3PRO on PC with Z-Wave / OpenTherm / Plugwise / RFXcom / MQTT / XAP400 / Logitech Media Server and Squeezelite on PI`s

Akatar, didn't hear that before, thanks.
Maybe we can speed up getting the EU version, if you're also in need of this please post in this poll:

I'm going to give it another bump: please post in this poll if you want an EU version!

Just installed the UZB stick also, looks like I have better network coverage. But I do like the flexibility of an IP connected interface, so I still want a Z-net.

Thanks.

Yep, in my possession for about 2 or 3 weeks now, major improvement reception-wise. Always had 2 Fibaro nodes (older doorsensors) that gave me some trouble about twice a week, no problems at all anymore. Great stuff, glad I bought it. Running HS3 on a Shuttle baritone.

Got three here and indeed work fine. Easy firmware updates, nice configuration to add them and with the Z-net app you can add devices even when they are mounted somewhere. Pricy but good so far

Bastiaan, do you use all three at the same site, and did you split up your set of modules between those three Z-net controllers (so divide the z-wave modules over the nearest controllers), or do all three contain al z-wave modules? I did not take the time to check if the latter is uberhaupt possible. thanks.

Yes i am using them all three at the same time, divided my my house in 3 sections. (40 mtr long).
For every device I decide where to connect and do this to only one Znet.

One of my frustrations with this Znet is that it, other than the Ztroller, can not work together and make one whole network. May be in the future they manage to make this work more intelligent.
