laserbeam detectors
in domoticashops there are a lot motiondetectors, window and door detectors even gps trackers now but less beam detectors as every elevator has, does anyone kno w if they exist for domotica.
Re: laserbeam detectors
I would suggest to use a regular IR beam (like elevators or shop entrances) and connect it to a domotica proof (wireless) interface. This can be an actor (zwave, A10) or wireless contact (Visonic, Kaku).
IR beams can be find by e.g. Conrad of Farnell.

Indeed search at conrad.nl on "lichtsluis" most of those devices will work with infra red and a reflection area (mirror) .. laserbeam is not so common and is also visible ...in case of detection it will trigger a potential free contact what should be connected to your domotica system.

Re: laserbeam detectors
Looking for an amplifier @ conrad I stumbled upon these two options for you. May in combination with a wireless device suitable? There's a DIY module and a pre build one:
