Device Values-Status/Graphics change

I have added another z-wave sensor to my network and i found out that it uses different values then my other devices. I wil try to explain
There is one device which uses "Off-Closed-No Motion" of "On-Open-Motion" the other devices is using "Closed" or "Open" for Device Values. The main difference between these values is the associated graphics in HomeSeer. When the device uses "Open" / "Closed" it is showing me a door icon. When it is using the "Off-Closed-No Motion" it is not showing the icon.
I have tried to change the values but when the device sends it`s new state the edit it lost. I think the device is only reporting values 0 and 255 so why are my changes lost? (Maybe do a change in HomeSeer version or due to firmware on the device ?
