Aiut Smart Gas Metering Protocol

Post by kylegordon »

Afternoon all,

I have a OKO 5513 and Alevel 0214 attached to my LPG tank for level monitoring, but it's no longer used as I changed supplier. I'm interested in the possibility of receiving data from the Alevel sensor, as it transmits on 433Mhz. In addition, whilst they are sealed units, replacement Alevel 0214 sensors are available cheaply on ebay.

Has anyone come across the protocol that 'Aiut' uses? I must admit, I haven't removed my RFXCom from my Home-Assistant server yet, in order to see what's being picked up, but I thought I would ask here before dismantling things :-)

The protocol seems to be also used for their heat monitoring devices too, and the best I can find is at http://tankmonitoring.com/doc/SHM_OKO55 ... 160322.pdf where it's referred to as 'IMS 433'

Tonight, I'll be moving the RFXTRX to a Windows machine and trying to log all undecoded stuff. The best I have is that it will log every 6 minutes. Maybe I'll set up an SDR too, if I can't catch anything.

Any info greatly appreciated :-)

Just as an update to this thread... after I ignored the thing for the best part of a year.

Last night I finally hooked my RFXCom up to a Windows machine and using RFXmngr I enabled a single protocol at a time. Sadly nothing at all was caught by RFXmngr.

I also used a SDR to grab the radio signal, and at least have something to work with. I can see the 2 second bursts in UHR ( https://github.com/jopohl/urh ) but just have to... figure out the rest :-)
