I found that sometimes if I modprobe -r and modprobe back, it will come back alive, but not always. Sometimes I just need to unplug the cable. I cannot understand why is the device going to boot mode if it gets lots of activity? If I send repeatly some codes and it will receive at the same time, it will go in that red light mode eventually. Everytime, sometimes sooner than later. I just think about doing some relay connection to usb cable that I can plug the device on/off if it's not responding.

Do you wait for the ACKnowledge message from the RFXtrx433 before you send the next command?
If you do not wait you will create a buffer overflow!

What does the RFXtrx433 if you connect it to a Windows system and use RFXmngr?

The RFXtrx433 can enter boot load mode (red LED on) if you send a wrong command sequence!
