I am currently using a HE853 transmitter to switch my lights on / off, link: elro.eu/en/products/category/home_autom ... usb_dongle
In my opinion, the signal of the HE853 is not too good. I've tried different setups, but switching on / off a light with more than 5m distance (through a wall) often results in a failure (nothing happens).
When trying to control the light switch, at the same location, with the HE844A, gives me better results, link: elro.eu/en/products/category/home_autom ... met_master
On a German forum I've seen a reply where someone modified the HE853 to improve its results, by "adding an antenna".
However I have no clue how to modify this transmitter. Opened up, the HE853 and HE844a look similar.
Questions:
1. How to modify the HE853 to improve transmitter results?
2. How does the RFXCOM transmitter compare to the HE853? (I could buy the RFXCOM transmitter if modifying is no option)
Thank you for your reply.

Try the RFXtrx433 http://www.rfxcom.com/store/Transceivers/12103 with www.domoticz.com
And you will be able control KlikAanKlikUit, Elro, HomeEasy and many other and receive also remotes and sensors like Oregon and TFA.

Re: HomeEasy transmitter issues (RFXCOM: improvement?)
Thanks for your suggestion,
My question is: does the RFXtrx433 contain a more powerfull transmitter than the HomeEasy 853 transmitter?
Will I be able to control switches from a distance of 10 metres through walls?

I suppose 10m with one wall in between will operate but depends on the type of wall.

Re: HomeEasy transmitter issues (RFXCOM: improvement?)
Update: I have ordered the RFXCOM and tested it on all of my installed devices.
The RFXCOM-transceiver has no transmitter issues within my house, worth the purchase!
