Error: INFO: ACK, but transmit started after 6 seconds delay

Post by keeslamper »

I got since today an error in the Homeseer Log about RFXCom. This is the error:

RFXCOM (decode_RecXmitMessage) INFO: ACK, but transmit started after 6 seconds delay anyway with RF receive data detected

I can't find what I'm doing wrong, also google can't help! I'm using an AC-1000 from Kaku. Reset and reinstall didn't solve the problem.

Regards,
Kees

The receiver detects a continues RF signal.
In this case there is a high risk that the transmitted command by the RFXtrx433 did not reach the receive because it can be disturbed by the other RF signal.

Things to check:
Do you use KAKU (AC) door/window sensors? These sensors produce too much RF.
Do you have an X10 MS13 motion sensor with an empty battery? These sensor produce for several days RF noise when the battery becomes almost empty.
Do you have a remote with a button constantly pressed (book on it or remote in a box)

Bert,

I don't have 1 of the 3 things you suggest. I checked.

Is it possible my AC-1000 is broken? When I reset it's making a strange sound, not the normal two clicks it has to be I think. And I can't pair it with an Kaku remote also! I bought it yesterday but have an idea it's broken now.

The strangest thing is that my doorbell script is activated when I try to turn the device on/off from the status page!

Regards,
Kees

An AC1000 is a receiver and does not transmit RF

You have only the RFXtrx433 configured?

configuration looks OK and could not introduce the problem.

But disable UND!! This doesn't solve the problem but eliminates receiving all kind of sh.t packets.

Try to find the RF source that creates the error.
Place the RFXtrx433 away from computers, routers and other electronic equipment.

Ok thanks Bert.

The RFX is now in the 'meterkast' where also is the router, server, fritzbox, etc etc. That's not the best place I know, but I don't have a better one!

For now I've removed the ac-1000 and the problem is solved. I'll test it this weekend or next week further. Thanks for your quick response. I'll disable UN.

Regards,
Kees

P.s. what's the maximum usb cable length for the RFX?

Is it possible my RFX Sensor is part of the problem? The status in Homeseer is 'geen communicatie' I removed the battery for now, I also removed the battery from my AYCT-102 remote. 44

That's what I did first, but then the problem still exist. So now I'm testing the sensor battery.
