RFXtrx433 firmware update 67 / 68

Post by b_weijenberg »

The updated firmware versions 67 and 167 are available on the RFXCOM download page.
FW release 433_67 7-6-2013
- BlindsT0 transmit updated for battery motor.
- BLINDST4 addressing changed
- Transmit sequence number corrected
- LightwaveRF ON decoded
- ARC PIR improved

The most important change is for BlindsT4 - RAEX motor. The unit number is no longer used and the ID has changed from 2 bytes to 3 bytes.
For people that have updated to the new RFXtrx433 Type-2 firmware version 167 they have to use the 3 ID bytes for the RAEX motor. So the application and firmware update must be synchronized!
If a user has already a Raex motor operational he can calculate the new 3 bytes ID as follows:
Byte 1 of the ID is: 0xC2 + unitnummer
Byte 2 and 3 of the ID are the same as used before.

Example:
Unitnumber = 1 and old ID = A2 1C. The new ID becomes C3 A2 1C

Will the Alecto WS1200 be the first of a series of Alecto units which will be supported or is it using a different protocol compared to the WS3500 for example ?

1) download the tool needed to flash your device

http://www.rfxcom.com/Documents/RFXflash.zip

2) download the fw for your device (you have tyype 1 or 2)

rfxcom.com/Documents/RFXtrx433_Type1_fi ... rmware.zip
or
rfxcom.com/Documents/RFXtrx433_Type2_fi ... rmware.zip

BlindT0 will disable all other protocols!!!
Do not select BlindsT0 unles you want to receive the Rollertrol remote to know the remote ID. In all other cases select only the protocols in use.

See chapter 2.4 http://www.rfxcom.com/Documents/RFXtrx% ... 0Guide.pdf

And do not select undec on unless requested by RFXCOM.

Please please RT.M : RFXtrx User Guide!!

See chapter 2.2 for the differences between Type 1 and Type 2
This chapter gives you also the information which protocol to enable for a certain protocol.
You cannot enable all protocols because some will inhibit other protocols or at least reduce the receiver sensitivity for another protocol.

Chapter 2.4 says:
The sensitivity of the receiver part is highly influenced by the number of protocols enabled.
Lesser protocols enabled will make the receiver more sensitive for the enabled protocols.

So for example if you do not have Meiantech sensors do not check this protocol, if you only have old KAKU, check only ARC.
The protocol enabling is only for receive, the transmit protocols are always enabled.

One problem.
I cannot mark the arc, when i save the settings the arc marker is going of.
Is this the reason that i cannot learn a arc reciver?
I have new and old kaku in my house.

I read something in the firmware that there was a better code for the kaku setting [ or i read this in domoticz ]

Is there a option that i read the a arc code.

Because i have a problem with the switches, domoticz change the status in de gui not when i push a kaku.

What are the changes for Impuls in this release ?

I just bought an Impuls set but it is not working (Yet)

I put the following dip switch setting 1100111100 which should make it M16 but apparently it is not (using RFXcom plugin in HomeSeer)

Nevermind answer took to long :D I just update firmware from 55 to 68 and it is working now

p.s. Why is there a version 69 in the download zip but no release notes ? http://www.rfxcom.com/Documents/RFXtrx4 ... rmware.zip
