Problem with connecting RFXLAN Transceiver via LAN interface

Post by Broes »

Recently I purchased a RFXLan Transceiver but I can't get it connected to HS.
I can switch On and Off a KAKU (ARC) device via RFXmitter so I assume that the transceiver is alive and kicking on the network.
But in the HS log I get a time out from the transceiver.
I have configured the interface with the TCP/IP adres, port 10001 and RFXtrx433.
The same error I get with using port 10002 and RFXtrx433 in the interface.
In the attachment are the screenshots.
Is there someone out there who can help to get my Christmas tree switched on and off with Rfxcom via HS?
Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Peter

The RFXLAN is not an RFXtrx.

The RFXtrx is only available as USB device at the moment and is a receiver/transmitter on the same port.

Configure the RFXLAN receiver on port 10001 as receiver (not in the RFXtrx section!)
Configure the RFXLAN RFXmitter on port 10002 in the Transmitter section with HS (handshake enabled)
For more details how to configure the RFXLANHS2 see chapter 8 in the RFXCOM User Guide.pdf. This doc is in the HS Docs\RFXCOM directory.

Thanks for the fast response,
The receiver and the transmitter are communicating with HS now!
The Christmas tree is still dark however because I have to figure out how to switch my KAKU wallswitch.
I configured the switch in the RFXcom page as an ARC on address A2 (according chapter 12.3 in the manual).
Unfortunately nothing happens when I switch the device in the status page although it is working with RFXmitter.
But still one day to go before it is Christmas so it should be possible!

enable debug level 2 for the transmitter (on the RFXCOM General config tab)
Send the HS log to support rfxcom

The lights in my Christmas tree are on!

Thanks Bert for the support, indeed I had to mark RFXmitter in the configuration of the transmitter.
Just in time for Christmas eve :)
