private messaging is temporary off
a user send by accident an private message to all "new regis. users"
i have also turned this feature off now...
looks like the mails all bounce and a retry every time is activated, also to users who already got the mail

i will put it on again later

Was that me ? Tried to send a PM to al_n yesterday, couldn't get rid of this group window on the right, and couldn't delete the tab newly registered users inside it, either. Sorry about that.

yep saw it was an accident, but the group setting is of now, so can't happen anymore....i hope
there were thousands of mails and retrying every time, not sure what all happened.
hope its over now....

Is there also an issue with the read status of messages?
I normally look at the new posts list but now the last 3 days messages are all in there.

Again we had some problems with multiple emails to newly registered users, due to a mass email from a user.
The queue file did not delete properly which was causing the problem, should be solved now...hopefully....

Are the old messages lost also ?
Because i had some messages with some info in it, and all are gone at the moment

Yes i had to clean, but have made a backup so i can pick out your mails if needed.

I have the same problem. Multiple messages regarding software keys bought through For Sale forum.
Also that's the only way for me to know from who I bought something.

Is it possible to install the backup on a subdomain like temp.domoticaforum.eu with mail function disabled. So that users can login there and make a backup of their messages?

no is costing me to much time to do that,
important stuff you should always store locally....

I can't see any messages in my pm boxes.
Is it possible to only block users who abuse the mass mailing feature or disable the mass mailing feature at all. I totally agree with you about saving the data locally. But that just didn't happend and I'm afraid I'm not the only one with this problem. I use this forum mainly on my mobile, and never thought about storing a copy of these messages "locally".

So if you please can allow us to make a backup by scheduling a restore moment, give us a certain date and time span, so everyone gets a chance to backup.
That would be appreciated much.

i think the restore of the pm's was not good, i see the messages in the table, but you cant?

Arrangements has been made that mass mail will not be possible anymore, and from now on the last 50 pm's will be stored again.
