Lot of stuff going on Internet about the Sticky option for Moderators, it's making me crazy. I have the option to it, so for now mail me the topics.
My search continues in the settings, but I think I will turn out that I have to Mod something.

On another note, very glad to have the RSS flow of information back. I was beginning to show signs of withdrawal :wink: thanks for getting it up and running again.

All old links on google and other sites are now automaticly redirected to the new forum
Did this for topics and forums, if you find some other broken links, please let me know it.

Sample ASP Code:

Code: Select all

Dim new_url, f_id
f_id = Request.QueryString("FORUM_ID")
new_url = "http://www.domoticaforum.eu/viewforum.php?f=" & f_id
Response.Status="301 Moved Permanently"
Response.AddHeader "Location", new_url

Nice, that saved me a bit of trouble... I had lots of old links "bookmarked" as interesting in emails, and now I can still use them.
Thanks Pieter. :)

I noticed that Firefox often has a problem posting or reloading a forum page of this site, it just sits there displaying the rotating reloading circle and does nothing.
I thought it was due to a slow board/server, but if you load Internet Explorer or Google Chrome this doesn't happen.
Somewhere I have read about a Firefox problem/bug with some sites, but I can find it anymore.

Anyone experience the same, or knows a fix?
Firefox 3.5.6/Windows 7 and Ubuntu 9.10 (don't remember FF version)
Regards, Ron.

I do not experience the problem with this forum specifically , but have some stability problems with the latest version of Firefox in general.

@RDNZL: No problems with Firefox3.5.6(Win) here.

Just in case: You wouldn't have 'warn me when web sites try to redirect me or reload the page' turned on in Tools>Options>Advanced tab>General subtab by any chance? As this would impede the reloading, but should also give you an 'Allow' button right under the browsing bar when this happens.

Strange, but I'm switching to Chrome at the moment, so the problem is 'solved' for me.

One problem thats still there is that new posts in watched forum (DomotiGa) don't get announced by e-mail, I missed one again last night.
Didn't get an e-mail, and I have set it as watched forum.
