LED bulbs

Post by Digit »

We have 4 lights in our garden. All in exactly the same armature.
I replaced 2 of the 4 HEMA spaarlampen (7W) with 2 XQ-lite LED bulbs (Karwei, 1.2W, 22 LEDs). I asked 3 people to pick the LED bulbs. None of them could.

There were 2 versions in the store:

1,2 W 22 LEDS (EUR 9,99)
2,0W 42 LEDS (EUR 20)

Here's all i know about the 1,2W version:

Thanks Digit,
I have bought them as well. The quality and color is very good, can't see any difference regarding the traditional light bulb.
Accept only consuming 1.2 watt :-)

I bought 2 for trying, i love them BUT, switching them with my TM13 will turn it really off but switching with a AM12 will leave the lamp burning on +/- 30% of the power.
I guess that the electronics inside leave enough power on the plug to keep the light burning, you guys dont have this? (with Xanura)?

I have a LED bulb from another brand (Calex, Kwantum), no modules involved, giving a 'glow' when it's off; only noticeable when it's completely dark.
The LED bulbs discussed here are completely off (no glow); they are switched by a AW12.

I went to Karwei to have a look at them but the 1,2 watt bulb (22 leds) provided very little light (less tahn a normal 25w lamp. the 2 watt version (42 leds) was a lot better but costs 19,95... Am I looking at the wrong lights or am I expecting too much?

No I have the 22 LED and the 42 Led version, I have the 42 LEDS version as outside light at my front door.
You can see it on my webcam at night http://www.bwired.nl/camdoor.asp The intensity is slightly less then a 9 watt reduction light (spaarlamp),
but very good and the same light color.
check my dutch weblog also http://www.bwired.nl/weblog.asp?id=284
