LED lighting on stairs and landing

Post by DKing »

Hi all,

I'm new to domotica, but very excited about it's possibilities. But there an awfull lot of information out there.

To start with home automation I'd like to install a lighting system, preferably based on LED lighting, that will automatically go on and off when someone walks up/down the stairs and landing at night.

Maybe even turn on slowly, not too bright, and go off when no-one is there anymore.

It is supposed to be a stand alone solution. No need to connect it to a computer. Maybe in the future.

Can someone advice me on where to look for a solution?

Thanks in advance,
Don

For auto on of you can use motion sensor.
What you need.
- Leds
- 2 X Motion sensor (MS13)
- DIAX12 (soft on soft off)
- Power adapter Lumotech L05021

Hi Chak,

Thank you for your quick reply and information.

If I understand correctly the motion sensors will send a signal to the DAIX12 to turn on the LEDs that are powered by the Lumotech adapter?

What if I want to use the current lights instead of additional LED lighting?

Can I still use the light switches in parallel with the motion detectors and slow on/off functionality at night?

Thx,
Don

You can still use the DAIX12 and motion sensor effect will be the same

DAIX12 will not work with energy saving lights SAIX12 will work fine

MS13 has also build in night sensor..It will only trigger when it's dark.

Great!

But if I have to motion sensors and two DAIX12 modules. Can I link a motion sensor to a specific DAIX12 module?

Do I need additional stuff for that?

Every DAIX/SAIX has his own address..also the MS13 motion sensor.
Only the linked devices will communicate.

One remark.
You also need a RF device like TM13 (+/- 20 Euro)
I forget this one in my first replay.
