Dimmable CFLs or LEDs with incandescent dimmers

Post by Jaren »

I'm new to Domotica and just retrofitted my house with Z-Wave dimmer switches.

They work great in the few places I still have incandescent bulbs.
Most of the house has CFLs and thus when the switches dim on or off the lights flicker like the disco.

I've tried several brands of dimmable CFL and found that they still pop and flicker when dimming on and off.
Is there a true replacement for incandescents in this kind of setup?
Can I put anything inline between my switches and bulbs that can fix up the signal to work better with the various dimmable cfl brands?

These are all standard light fixtures like lamps, ceiling fans etc that originally had standard 60w incandescents so I don't think halogens or spots will work for me.
