IRTrans - how to configure automatic passthrough of signals?

Post by DJF3 »

Hi,

Right now I have a marmitek device that captures my IR signals and extends them to the devices (cable decoder, media player) that are inside a closet. (wired extension!)

Can I use the IRTrans receiver LED to capture the signals and automatically send them to the decoders & media players?
Important: this should work without HomeSeer.

HomeSeer will ofcourse also receive the signals but won't do anything for most of these signals.

thanks
DJ

DJ in the config menu you can select the self repeat option.
Signals will be send to the internal and external outputs.

This works. The only problem is that it adds a 0.3-0.5 second delay. This means that if you're scrolling through a list (EPG) it's feels like it responds slowly.

Is this an inevitable delay added by the IRtrans electronics?

Thanks
DJ

PS. When should I see IR signals appearing in my HomeSeer logfile? The I/R Match event trigger is not working.. HS can send IR signals.
