Finding IR codes for IR trans

OMG, is it hard to find the discrete codes for my Sony gear!
I tried remote central but there I have to use CCF extract for each file to see if my code is somewhere in there. Takes a long time. There must be some excell database showing al (pronto) codes right?
I also tried http://www.hifi-remote.com/sony/Sony_rcvr.htm . It is easy to find the right product but I don't know how I can see the code. It only shows Sony Receiver (16, 13, 12, 18, 24, 144, 16.0, 16.32, 121, 25.11; 48, 45, 176, 16.8, 16.40) at the top op the page and is shows the number 47 for discrete power off. This is not a normal code format to me and do I have to put the 47 behind the long code?
I know this must be a dummy question but after 2 full evenings of searching I had to 'throw it in the group' (gooi het in de groep). Who can help me out?
