If the impression is based on more than just power consumption, i'd like to hear about that too :-)

My first BluRay disc (Startrek 2009) did play fine.
Also some media on the NAS box including HD streams did play smooth. Same data on other players did not play well.

This evening watched my first HD movie on the Dune.
Playback was perfect.

Have done some tuning...found the power save option.
When this is active and you enter the standby mode with the remote
Device will reduce the usage to almost zero.
This mode is making me happy...:)

The main reason for going for the Dune Prime was the build in BR drive an the form factor.

After few days of testing and watching some movies this is not going to be my player.
Tomorrow I will send it back to WifiMedia

Pro's
Form factor
Build in BR

Con's

Price
noisy BR player
Experimental Gigabit connection (chipset is not supporting this)
Slow media selection
Slow photo load
Internet support (Youtube, Flickr, etc)

Latest firmware update (beta) did not bring what I was hopping.
Dune Prime is back to WifiMedia.

Tomorrow the Xtreamer will be delivered.
The biggest con of this devices was the noisy cooling fan. This problem is solved with the latest firmware..
Else replacement of the fan will be the next step.
