Hi,

Anyone has a picture of the inside of a PLCBUS 1141 serial adapter ? I see it is prepared for a DB 9 connector, but there is also another free spot on the PCB, need to you know if there is anything else I have to do to convert a USB into Serial. The USB version is giving me a headache since al the lastest profile drivers incl. 64 bit ones do not seem to work.

Cheers, Willem.

I found this German description: http://www.plc-bus.info/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=4

I think you can ask for English support.

Too bad, you need an external 5V power supply for this modification.
That makes it more or less only useful, when no USB is available.

Some people (including me) still have a dislike of USB and the drivers that you need to use.

You could use USB to get the 5v power..

Yep especially with this unit, the latest profilic drivers are not working and you have to refer to an old driver. It is that my wife likes the crystal switches otherwise I would toss it out completely.

I have 5 volts available in the wiring closet so not really an issue :-)
