Plugwise as part of other Zigbee network

Post by fragos »

Trying to catch this topic on the forum, though no clear answer. So my main question is. Is it possible to have a plugwise (zigbee pro enabled) devices as a repeater or in general as a node as part of an additional (no plugwize) zigbee network. In other words, as plugwise is based on Zigbee pro, is there any straightforward process towards the compatibility of plugwise devices with other zigbee pro based zigbee networks?

Its encrypted Zigbee layer on the normal communications, so it will be nearly impossible

Thanks for your feedback. So if plugwise is not the case, are you aware of any Zigbee device that is security settings agnostic and thus can act as a repeater on a zigbee pro network? We prefer a zigbee based plug/socket to take this role, but at least it would be very useful for us to get informed about any device that can act as a repeater on our customized Zigbee pro network.
