Circles not working 100%?

Post by wwolkers »

So, I received my plugwise set yesterday.
Installed the software, plugged the USB dongle in, Circle+ in the power socket, all fine.
Then I plugged in my first circle, and the light attached to it went on after like 3 seconds. But it never showed up in the software after running the add modules. Weird. So I went to the next plug.. tried them all now, 2 working, the rest just doesn't show up :(
Thinking it might be interference of some kind, I took one of the non-working circles, and used that in the wall outlet instead of one which was working, no go. And the one which was working, also works fine in any other power outlet in the house.

Next thing I tried is to reset the circle+, but that didn't help.
Tried removing the software, and reinstalling, no go :(
tried the software on a different laptop, didn't work either :(

So now I mailed plugwise (can't call em at the moment, busy at work) to see if they have any clue what might be the problem.

Anyone else seen these kind of problems before??

If you plug in the circle it will click on as standard.
Did you try to put the circle+ close the the dongle and then place all the other circles there as well.
This is just to try it out. This should be working normally. Also wait a while for the circles to connect to each other (creating the network)
Then the circles should pop up in the software. After this you can divide the circles in your house, just keep in mind to install the circle+ close to the dongle (like 5 meters, try this distance)

Btw: I did not have this problem, I now have like 30 plugs running.

I plugged the Circle+ in the same powersocket which I use for my laptop, so it's about 1.5m from the dongle.
I tried plugging all the circles within 1m of my laptop, still no go :(
went to bed, and when I woke up this morning, still not working :(
Thanks for the tip though.
I'll try more stuff when I get back home tonight.

Just off the phone with plugwise.
their advice is to reset all non-working circle's.
If that doesn't work, reset the circle, and redo the entire configuration.
I'll give it a try tonight.
