Reset plugwise

Post by TANE »

Sometimes plugwise plugs will not join the network.
This happens if the factor rest did not work okay.

For resetting:
Just plug the adapter
wait for click
remove wait 3 sec.
plug wait 3 sec
remove wait 3 sec
plug wait 3 sec
remove wait 3 sec
plug ..rest is don.

I'm using a simple Homeseer event and TM13 for resetting

agreed, this reset is missing one step.
as per the plugwise site http://forum.plugwise.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=114 :

Soms moet de Circle+ ge-reset worden. Dat kunt u doen door de Circle+ plug driemaal achter elkaar in het stopcontact te steken en er weer uit te halen.
Telkens gedurende 2,5 seconde.

as in:
plug in for 3 secs
remove for 3 secs
plug in for 3 secs
remove for 3 secs
plug in for 3 secs
remove for 3 secs

then plug it in and it should work.

You can't reset the plug from the software..only reset the data counters in the software.

I have a problem with the software of plugwise.
All the circles have the sign "?".
The stick is also blocked.
This is since novembre 25.
See picture below.

You can try running the config.wizard.
Start->All Program's->Plugwise Source->Configuratiewizard
This will reconnect all devices, if they are reset.
