New coming major firmware update

Post by Bwired »

For some time now Plugwise is working on a new firmware with some improvements. Changes like:

New time-sync
Handling log data
handling switching schedules
And a new way of handling the commands

This firmware update involves all circles in the plugwise network and should make the network more efficient and faster.

I was thinking that this could have major impact on the direct API to the Dongle which several of you are reverse engineering right now!

they should release the api, if you can reverse engineer it, why not give it out.

Will start reversing again then... I hope they won't keep challenging me over and over again [:)]
Any schedule on releasing this btw?

New coming major firmware update

If I buy starter package this week, will the firmware be upgradable or should I wait? Of course the main reason I'm interested in plugwise is because you guys makes it possible to use on a Linux server, so maybe it would be smarted to buy with old firmware if they makes it harder to reverse engineer :)

You can always upgrade later on (so it's no problem to buy it right now), I wonder when the new firmware will be released.
