Is editing Plugwise data possible?

Post by Kristofgss »

Is it possible to edit plugwise data in any way? I have used a plug in which my radio was plugged in to see how much power my vacuum cleaner consumed during vacuuming. Afterwards, I plugged my radio back in, but now the logged data shows a spike from the half hour where I used the vacuum as was expected. However, i can't find any way to edit the plugwise data to remove this spike, as it was only for a single test.

I think this is not possible with the source software, The only thing you can do is reset the complete circle to 0.

You can also edit the access database (need to have access installed)
<b>Make a back-up of your database first!</b>
The default location of the database is C:\Documents and Settings\<yourusername>\Application Data\Plugwise\Source\DB

The graphs are generated from the following table:

- Appliance_log.

This log has 24 columns, counter_1 to 24 which are the corresponding hours. Logdate is the date of the log. The values are in kWh, so you can just edit the logdate and counter of the vacuum cleaner.

Hope this helps...

I'd say the E-05 means * 10^-5 so more like 7.x * 1/100000.

Thanks, there are indeed different records in there, few with E-05 and others without it :-)

Maybe it has to do with displaying as much detail as possible in the available space.
As in:
7.34933204382366E-05 gives you more info then
0.000073493320438236

I got the official reply from plugwise (quick helpdesk reply) Apparently, I should have created a new device to test the vacuum cleaner, and afterwards removed the new device and reassign my original device to the plug. There is no official endored method to modify data (so it'll be unofficial editing a copy of the databse then : )
