New release Plugwise Source 2.0.1 Final, Release 20091021

Post by jheerink »

What did,nt work today was the message that i should schedules send again due to wintertime.I read that that was supposed to be a new feature in the latest version.
It did however make a connection with a plug that had been unreachable for several weeks. With the new version it immediately got updated. The previous version had a problem with that plug.

Same situation here. Sometimes it takes up to a few seconds before plugs are responding to a on/off command from Homeseer. Nevertheless I am very happy that all plugs are now at least responding correctly via the Webserver (and HomeSeer Plugin). Since I've updated Source last friday all plugs have been responding.

Also the response from the plugwise software is very slow.
Is there a possibility to install the previous version again?
Turn on will take sometimes more than 10 seconds.

As I now, there is no reported problem about slow response.

@chak/peter
Could you pleas check if all your appliances are reachable/on-line in your Source? Because this version of the Source is trying 'harder' to reach all the appliances (higher priority) this could slow down other processes.
Please mark the non reachable appliances (unplugged) in the Source offline: Go to Settings->Appliances and mark "temporarily not in network"

I have tested my system for responses:
Sometimes it reacts within a second but too frequent the switching takes >10 seconds.

I can do an on/off a few times, then the plug will excute all the commands 10 second later al quickly after each other.

Same problem here since the update. Also one plug unreachable from HS, can be reached from Source though. The response from the Source software is OK, have not had any delays from there yet.

@dickr43: You mention one plug is unreachable from the Homeseer while it is OK within the Source. Can you check what the output for this plug is when you query statistics.xml from within a browser?

Code: Select all

<appliance>
  <id>8</id>
  <name>Vloerlamp TV</name>
  <type>Lamp</type>
  <image>/pwimg/32/lamp_off.png</image>
  <locked>False</locked>
  <realstate>off</realstate>
  <powerstate>off</powerstate>
  <powerusage>0</powerusage>
  <totalusage>1475</totalusage>
  <moduleid>9</moduleid>
  <macaddr>000D6F00003848A7</macaddr>
  <moduletype>Circle</moduletype>
  <room>Woonkamer</room>
  </appliance>
  </items>
De versie is V2009.1021.2

Sorry Guys,

Forgot about the language... I think I got it working again! Moved house this week and the distance between the circles increased. Just placed an unused circle between two (a bit far apart) circles and now it looks like the network is OK again.

Seems like the distance between circles should not be more than 4 meters.
