Plugwise and WKK wish

Post by Verkenner »

A micro-WKK from WhisperGen is a stirling motor which delivers hot water and electrical supply (in a home situation)

The micro-WKK gives electrical power (current) and sometimes it uses electrical power.
When delivering (25% of the time) the WKK delivers 1000 watt.
When stand still (75% of the time) the WKK uses a power of 80 watt.

In Source S/W the WKK is defined as delivering (e.g. sunpanel)
So when the WKK is standing still the 80 watt is consumed electricity in stead of revenu.

It should be nice the Circle could 'see' the connected system (WKK) is using electrical power or if it is delivering power.
Is this a future request or didn't I see a hidden setting?

Attached figure 1: WKK revenu
figure 2 the total system usage

Plugwise response

Response from Plugwise:

The Circle cannot automatic make a difference between power using (consumption) and power delivering (generating).
Only in the Source you can switch beween them.
Because companies asked for this functionallity too, Plugwise will develop bidirectional Circles. But not on short time.
